Real people, sharing real stories, encouraging real people. This blog was created for the primary purpose of helping others, especially high school and college dropouts. In this endeavor, I invite you to share:
*Commitments and/or goals related to educational studies; *Encouraging words, Bible verses, quotes, etc..., so that seekers will know they are not alone in his/her journey; and *Success stories. All educational accomplishments are important! I can't wait to hear from each of you! For those who share, THANK YOU! I'll be praying and cheering for those recording commitments and/or goals, agreeing with those providing encouraging words, and dancing when I hear of achievements! Verna

There are many Bible verses referencing education. One of my favorites is below.

Unto Daniel he gave the name Belteshazzar, to Hananiah the name Shadrach, to Mishael the name Meshach, and to Azariah the name Abednego.

I'm going to take a somewhat different approach to education, Verna. I agree it is very important and what is also important is to go to our Heavenly Father for His wisdom and His direction. I failed to do either and because of that I completed a degree program that was not suited to my personality or gifts/talents. I teach children and love it, but teaching was not my college major. I teach, but as a paraprofessional. And as a paraprofessional, I have no retirement and a very small salary!

Hi! I'm Verna Harvey.I dropped out of high school before completing the 11th grade. Since that time, I've worked very hard and have obtained my GED and earned three college degrees! Life was extremely hard before earning my GED. With the attainment of each college degree, additional doors were opened. Archives
